Day 1: Kibale forest National Park
Enjoy an early breakfast and leave for Kibale Forest National Park one of the loveliest and most varied tracts of tropical forest in Uganda. It harbours the greatest variety of primates with chimpanzee as the prime tourist attraction. Arrive at your lodge late in the afternoon hours and spend an evening at leisure.
Day 2: Chimpanzee Tracking & Nature walk
A morning at the tropical rainforest park is very fresh and full of imagination of how it feels to meet up with chimps in their natural home. After briefing by rangers, enter the forest under the guidance of park rangers and be ready to see chimpanzees as well as other forest primate species in only 1- 2 hours. When you track chimpanzees in Kibale forest, the chances of seeing chimps are 99% because the park is a home to many habituated chimpanzee families.Also in the afternoon explore the well maintained wetland of Bigodi and get a chance to sport other primate species, birds and much more. Day 3: Kibale Forest- Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
In the morning past breakfast drive to Bwindi National Park a famous mountain gorilla home in Africa and a great place for gorilla tracking safaris in Uganda. Arrive in the evening at your lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 4: Gorilla Tracking Tour in Bwindi Forest
You can do gorilla tracking, bird watching, and learn about the culture and community around the park. Here is how it goes, wake up in the morning, have breakfast and carry your gorilla permit,valid passport, drinking water, packed lunch and report to the park headquarters for briefing and registration. After briefing you will be guided into the forest to search for gorillas. The trek normally lasts between 2-6 hours since rangers have a clear idea of where the gorilla could be. Spend an hour with the endangered primates and enjoy photography before retuning back to the lodge. Always afternoons are free so you can go on a community tour or nature walk back in the forest. Dinner and overnight stay at your lodge.
Day 5: Bwindi Forest –Kampala
After forgetting the difficulties you went through to get where the magnificent mountain gorillas where. Drive back to Kampala with fresh memories of the safari arriving late evening with a drop off at your preferred destination.
