TRIP ITINERARY
Day 1: Kampala-Bwindi Forest National Park
Leave Kampala for Bwindi Forest early morning to cut traffic and get to the park early enough with a lunch stops in Mbarara town at Igongo cultural Museum .Proceed to the park arriving in the evening for dinner and overnight stay at Buhoma community bandas, Gorilla friendly campsite, Nshongi gorilla camp, broadbill campsite, Haven lodge, gorilla mist camp, Trekkers Tervan, Mahogany springs, Bakiga lodge, Sanctuary forest Camp.
Day 2: Gorilla trekking tour in Bwindi Forest National Park
Gorilla trekking in Bwindi forest starts early morning with a briefing from the park rangers followed by the main day activity of searching for the mountain gorillas in the jungle forest. During the process, a lot of forest habitants can be seen including the giant silverback with its Family member an exciting terrific moment that you have always waited for. Photography and observation of one hour duration is a must but make sure, you pack the entire right trekking checklist without forgetting to put on comfortable walking shoes. If the afternoon is free a community walk waits for you, Batwa people, nature walk and waterfall visit among others. Dinner and overnight at your lodge of day one.
Day 3: Second Gorilla Trek & Transfer to Volcanoes National Park
Enjoy the second gorilla trek before leaving Bwindi forest to Volcanoes National Park with fresh memories of a rewarding wildlife adventure of two different habituated gorilla families. Arrive to the park at your lodge for relaxation as you wait for dinner and overnight stay at Muhabura lodge, kinigi guest house, Mountain gorilla view lodge
Day 4: Golden monkey Trek & Transfer to Lake Kivu
Breakfast, Golden monkey trek in volcanoes national park followed by transfer to back to Lake Kivu the famous Rwanda beach destination and best place for relaxation and leisure. Enjoy breath taking sceneries of Rwanda hills, Virunga Mountains and vegetation. Proceed to the shores with an afternoon boat ride before dinner and overnight stay at Water front Resort, Paradise Malahide, Lake Kivu Serena Hotel.
Day 5: Full day leisure at Lake Kivu
This day will excite you and make you enjoy Rwanda more than before with variety of leisure activities that the lake has to offer. The rewarding ancient African lifestyle will definitely impress you, fishermen playing in water in dugout canoes occupy your day,colourful dressed ladies smoking pipes , fantastic birdlife, boat cruise, warm weather, beach sand and many more give you comfort all through. Day 6: Lake Kivu-Kigali
Have breakfast and enjoy option beach activities before driving back to Kigali with an enroute stop to genocide sites, ending the trip with a drop off at your agreed point or airport for your flight back home.
